Drive it 15 minutes first
A warm engine and hot catalytic converter burn cleaner. A cold start can fail a test it would otherwise pass.
Check engine light off
An illuminated check engine light is an automatic fail on any OBD-II vehicle. Have it looked at first.
Keep up maintenance
Regular service per your owner's manual, and never tampering with emissions equipment, are the keys to passing.

Do you handle DMV registration?
